She lighted those matches again and again, it's addicting
The visions made her feeling well
Better than home
Stars fell so many in her head, didn't give a damn about it
Raining kept going heavily, "I want more, God"
Fucking wind blew, kidding her tears
"Let me hug you, my dear..."
"Grandma!"
"Reach my hand, I'll make you warm."
"Thank you...Grandma, I saw them, dancing around the tree,
laughing each other, and the meals....are always smell good in Christmas...They
held and whispered a funny thing, like we used to be."
"I'm here, now...you needn't to be worried anymore."
"No one bought my matches. Dad will be angry, he'll beat me. Why
did God create me? I'm nothing, am I? Even I can't make him happy. I feel
useless..."
"No, dear...God never creates something without reason. You
mean everything, especially for me, even for your father. You were created, so
they, everybody in this world, can learn."
"Learn? I'm not subjects at school, however I don't go to
school!"
"We needn't go to school to learn how to stand, we just need
to live harder, we just need too much listen, watch, and breath. They will
learn much of you."
"I can't understand what you said."
"It's ok."
"Grandma, you know, what I'm only feeling now is tired...I've
walked too far and there were too many things happened, today and yesterday. I
just want to sleep. I'm tired..."
"Just sleep, dear...I'm here, never leave you again. I know
you walked too far, too slow, too hard. And now, it's time for you to sleep,
tonight. Your duties have been done."
Sun shone
everybody whispered each other,
gathered in a crowded,
looked sadly
at a girl, matches around her
